The most effective coach or therapist is the one you feel seen and understood by.

Alissa BenPorat

In my role as a therapist and coach, I help clients make sense of their struggles with evidence-based, deeply human therapeutic practices, so that healing and connection can bloom.

I work with high achieving couples and adult individuals who struggle in their relationships. I support my clients around difficult family dynamics, pre-marital counseling, betrayal/affairs, pregnancy/family planning, cultural differences, ADHD, OCD, sex and intimacy, queer affirmation, anxiety, grief, suicide, psychosis recovery, trauma, monogamy/consensual non-manogamy, and psychedelic/entheogenic integration.

By nature I’m an artist and adventurer. I love to laugh as much as I love to get down to brass tacks. My roles in the world are as a mother, partner, sister, daughter, and community member. I love to dance, sing, travel, and play in the outdoors.

On my way to becoming a therapist, I ventured down a couple other paths. In my mid 20’s I left the U.S. behind and spent a couple years working abroad, which expanded my world and gave me a sense of the wonders of living on foreign soil, as well as the difficulties. I later returned home to do some personal healing, which led to over a decade-long career teaching mind-body wellness, fitness, and chronic pain recovery.

Along the way, I learned to hold the inseparability of mind, body, and spirit at the center of my work and life. I’ve been privileged to help adults from age 25 - 75 from across the globe and economic spectrum make hard-won changes to their minds and bodies, have learned from them in-kind, and seen both our spirits shine brighter in the process.
